Call for Papers
In order to upgrade the MICSS teachers’ teaching skills and effectiveness, United Chinese School Committees’ Association of Malaysia (Dong Zong) will hold the Lesson Plan Presentation on 3rd and 4th July 2021 (Saturday and Sunday) at the New Era University College, Kajang.
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the education models and brought about a change in the teaching practice. We take the opportunity of the education models transition to explore the integration of technology in teaching, online teaching and blended teaching to reflect the educational concept of autonomous learning and improve the managerial quality of MICSS. In consonant with the above objectives, educators and teachers from MICSS are cordially invited to respond to this invitation.
Submission details are as below:
- Participants: Incumbent teachers and administrators of MICSS
- Theme: Enjoy Teaching, Love Learning, Empower Children to Attain Achievement–The New Normal of Teaching and Learning
- Subjects:
3.1 Language : Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia, English
3.2 Maths and Science : Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Science
3.3 Social Science : History, Geography, Liberal Studies, Civic Education, Counselling
3.4 Commerce : Business Studies, Bookkeeping and Accounts, Accounting, Economics
3.5 Technical : Art & Graphic Design, Food & Beverage Management, Electrical and Electronics, Car Repair and Maintenance
3.6 Art Knowledge : Fine Arts, Music, Computer & Information Technology, Physical Exercise and Health, Technology and Living, Performing Arts and Living
- Date of Registration and Notification:
4.1 Date of Registration Form and Lesson Plan Submission: On or before 20th February 2021
(The deadline will be extended from 20 February 2021 until 5 March 2021)
4.2 Date of Acceptance Notification: 9th April 2021
- Details of Submission:
5.1 Documents needed: Registration Form Lesson Plan Feedback from the students and observers.
5.2 Provision of supplementary materials such as videos, worksheets, teaching materials, etc will facilitate the consideration of acceptance.
5.3 The school authority is urged to review and get acknowledgement from the participants before submission to ensure the quality and professionalism of the papers.
5.4 Each participant can submit only ONE copy of a personal lesson plan and/or ONE copy of a collaborative lesson plan.
5.5 The citation should be made accordingly (includes videos, PPTs, lesson plans, articles, exercises, etc) to avoid intellectual property infringement.

- Guidelines after Acceptance of Paper:
6.1 Individual designers of the accepted documents are required to do the presentation in person and substitute presenters are not allowed. A certificate of presentation will be provided to each presenter for encouragement.
6.2 All submitted documents will not be returned, please keep a copy for your records.
6.3 The registration fee, meal and accommodation expenses will be waived for the presenters, however, they should be responsible for their transportation expenses.
6.4 The organiser reserves all rights to publish accepted works on journals and its official website for educational purposes.
